Wish Upon A Hero Goodies

We recently found out about a fabulous website called "Wish Upon A Hero." Many people go there to make a reasonable wish and those who grant them are called Heroes. I was lead to the cards category and knew we'd love granting wishes! After creating a profile we read through the wishes of those asking for cards for themselves or a loved one. We love creating cards, but we also wanted to add a little more, so naturally we are sending goody mail to accompany the cards. (:

Searching For Kind Hearted Beings!!

There is an 11 year old little girl in New Orleans, Louisiana battling Crohn's Disease. This child is in and out of the hospital more than desired. I can not find an organization that cheers kids with her disease up, so I'm doing it myself. But, I need your help!

If you are willing to send her an uplifting card or small gift(nothing big) please email me for mailing details. I am SO VERY Thankful to anyone who answers this call. Please spread the word! The more the merrier!

Hello Dear Friends and Visitors!

I'm very excited to post this to the blog today! At a visit to Wal-Mart this weekend I found the cutest wood carvings. They have them in several different styles (butterflies, dragonflies, lady bugs, flowers and zoo animals). I just couldn't resist purchasing them to send to our adults and kids! I also found some very cool wooden crosses and a wooden star, which I was able to paint myself!

These are going out to: Lily, Hannah, Deanna, Naomi, Ezra, Mikey, Destiny, Grace, Zach & Julian


The star is going to Adrianna (my chemo buddy) who's no longer on chemo!!

Today, I've been reflecting on happiness and exactly what it means to me. I have many things that make me happy like:

-My Family
-The Father
-Expressing Gratitude
-Reading about others gratitude

But, the thing that brings me the greatest happiness is doing something for someone in need. Even if I never meet them just knowing I made a difference in their day brings a tremendous amount of happiness for me. You can achieve that very same happiness!

A Beautiful Busy Week!

We've been very busy here at the Uplifting Base! We've been sending out goody mail to men, women and children alike who are in need of an extra smile. It has been a rewarding week as well, because we have received many notes of thanks from recipients of our "goody mail." Receiving those notes and cards give us the boost we need to push forward with our mission. Their gratitude uplifts us to the moon and back!
